Big Brother’s Big Sausage

1

Some of you more attentive Sausage watchers will already have noticed this, but over the past few weeks we’ve been writing some sketches for that most famous of TV orifices, Big Brother’s Big Mouth.

The lovely peeps at Remarkable TV asked us to write some sketches featuring Dave Sausage and Louis Sausage, with Remarkable’s own skilled team handling the shooting and editing. Obviously, we accepted the challenge with much glee.

We’re positively exploding with excitement to announce that our short, CGI-Brows, has been selected to screen at the LA Comedy Festival!

It’s being shown at 6pm at the ACME Comedy Theatre on Sunday 16th May. If you’re lucky enough to be in LA at that specific moment in time, get yourself down there for some fun and frolics.

Just a quick one to say Happy New Year to all our lovely friends. You are all very lovely.

We’ve got a busy 2010 planned, including a bit of stand-up from one of us, a feature documentary from another, and more glorious sketches from all of us. Huzzah!

See you all next decade.

We Team Up With Together.com

1

The lovely peeps at Together.com (the climate change awareness website) asked us to produce a new sketch for them highlighting the number ‘1431′, which is the amount of money (in £’s) you can save by employing simple energy saving practices at home.

Joe and Andy put together a script, and we shot it on a rather windy Saturday morning in Yorkshire. It’s called ‘Hero’, and it’s featured on the front page of YouTube as we speak.

Also, head here to vote for our sketch to appear on the tellybox. As good a reason as any to waggle your digits once more, we reckon:

If we could be even one half of the man this guy is when we’re his age we’ll be very happy (courtesy of @glinner on Twitter.com…). What an utter tit.

Thrust!

0

Had a busy weekend on a farm in Yorkshire watching a good friend of ours repeatedly thrust his groin into the face of another good friend of ours.

Fortunately we had a camera there, so we might turn it into a sketch.

We Won!!

1

Hard to believe as it is, we somehow managed to win the People’s Choice Award at the Virgin Media Shorts Awards last week for our comedy short, ‘CGI-Brows’. Hurrah!

As a consequence, it’s been subject to a little bit of chatter and random web bibblings on various internetitudinally-based forums. By far our favourite is this one, from internet film giant Rotten Tomatoes.

What we love about this discussion is the fact that there appear to be a few people involved who haven’t realised that CGI-Brows is a joke. Maybe they’re joking, and just being so deadpan, so super-duper dry that even sensitive comedy receptors such as ours and yours can’t pick it up. We bloody well hope so, but somehow it just doesn’t seem likely.
