Up until now, we’ve been documenting or travails on our Facebook group. But now we’ve got this alarmingly fantastic blog, we thought we’d give you a quick rundown here. So, straight from the pen of our illustrious Sausage Chronicler, written almost as it bloody happened, we present a Brief History of Sausage:

Thanks to the peeps who attended our first foray into the world of “live” comedy on Thursday. Our sketch ‘CGI-Brows’ seemed to go down extremely well!
As a direct result of this aforementioned good reception, the somewhat legendary Mr Robert Popper (’Peep Show’, ‘The Inbetweeners’, author of ‘The Timewaster Letters’) saw fit to give us a rather prominent mention on his esteemed blog:
http://www.robertpopper.com
Which we were rather chuffed about.
Our next appearance at Popcorn Comedy will be in Brighton at the end of this month:
“BRIGHTON POPCORN COMEDY - TUESDAY, 23rd JUNE
Our Brighton debut will take place at 9pm on Tuesday 23 June at The Duke of York’s Picturehouse. Live acts on the evening will include:
JOSIE LONG, TIM KEY, FERGUS CRAIG, IDIOTS OF ANTS
PLUS lots of brilliant films from the likes of Cassetteboy, Worm Hotel, Rocket Sausage and Ladma.
You can book tickets on 0871 704 2056
or by visiting the picture house website for more details.”

ROCKETSAUSAGE LIVE
We’ve got our first “live” (if you can call it that) appearance at the Roxy Bar on Borough High Street on Thursday 4th June for the ‘Popcorn Comedy’ night there. We were rather chuffed to be invited to display our stuff alongside some actual comedians.
If you’re in need of something to do that evening, and you’re lucky enough to be in London, then come down!
ROBERT POPPER - Creator of BBC2’s ‘Look Around You’
JONNY SWEET - “Infectiously funny.” Time out
BRIAN GITTINS – “Brian Gittins is a true original” - The Guardian
DOC BROWN – “Could yet be the Bill Bailey or Tim Minchin of rap” - Chortle
CAROLINE MABEY - “Real comedy bite, silly, poignant and twisted gaggery” The Scotsman
NAT SAUNDERS AND CHRIS HAYWARD - ‘Brilliantly silly’ Robert Popper
and us, of course…

So the Bank Holiday weekend saw us filming our most recent sketch, ‘Andy!’, which should be edited and up for everyone’s viewing pleasure quite soon.
The whole thing went rather swimmingly, we made some new friends, and ate some nice wraps.
All very exciting.

We’ve completed a new. better, shorter cut of CGI-Brows, and it’s become something of a hit in the 5-ish days it’s been up on MySpace Comedy. Watch it here:

And now ‘Janine’ has been featured on the US FunnyOrDie site, which is quite exciting.

So we’ve blundered our way into the finals of this thing
http://www.myspace.com/myspacetridentcomedyaward
and need everyone’s votes to get us through to the live final in London. To watch the video click on the link above and select the ‘RocketSausage’ logo, and press the CHEW button. That counts as a vote for ‘Let Her Go’, our video for the first round. With everyone’s help we could go on to win this, and get a development deal with Warner worth 250 grands. Oh, and a year’s supply of Trident, which was of course the main reason for us doing all this in the first place.
25/09/08 NEWSFLASH
RocketSausage are proud to announce that they have somehow made it into the last 15 of the MySpace Trident Comedy Awards. More news on this to follow…
ALSO, ‘Mr Pencils Grand Design’ has been selected as an official top pick on FunnyOrDie UK’s website. Please feel free to check this out and give us some “funny” votes. Ta.

We’ve just completed our latest sketch, ‘Mr Pencil’s Grand Design’ - featuring a tour de force in weirdness from Mr Timothy Peffers.
So that’s our story so far. There’s much more to come, we hope, so keep your face portholes fixed here. Or here. Or here. Or here. Or here. Or even here.
